Crosshatch Hotdogs

This may not seem like much of a recipe, but I couldn’t leave hotdogs off the table so I put a unique spin on them with the crosshatch pattern. A hotdog is really a blank slate, so throw in some relish, mustard, or your other favorite fixings to create exactly what makes you happy. Boiling hot dogs in the oven literally makes them taste grilled!

you will need:

Hot dogs

Good Quality bottled barbecue sauce

1. Preheat oven to the Royal setting. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and set aside.

2. working with one hotdog at a time, gently run your knife about 1/8 inch deep, making diagonal slits down the length of the hotdog. Repeat, now making diagonal slits the opposite direction the flip the hotdogs over and create the crosshatch pattern on the bottom.

3. Brush barbecue sauce on all sides of the hotdog, making sure it seeps into the knife cuts. Place on the prepared baking sheet.

4. Broil on high for five minutes per side
