Charoses is there to remind us that even though our difficulties and challenges there’s always a silver lining, charoses is sweet and we eat it with maror which is bitter, even when times are bitter there’s some sweet along with it, it’s never all bad. For some reason I’ve always loved charoses and for that reason it’s been my job to make it for the past bunch of years and that’s how I came up with this recipe. It ain’t the prettiest food but somehow @chayphotography made it look so beautiful! She even tasted it and enjoyed! Have a chag kosher v somayach!
Recipe:
2 1/2 cups @yumtee_nuts chopped walnuts
5 cortland or Macintosh apples
1 1/2 cup matuk kal @kedemfoods wine
Put the nuts in the food processor and pulse a few times until the chopped nuts a tiny pieces but not powder. Peel the apples and grate them in the food processor with the shredding blade. Mix the apples, nuts, and wine. Taste it! You’ll be delighted! Enjoy!
