Beef Bologneese

Beef Bolognese is a classic Italian meat sauce served over pasta, today I’m sharing my version of it. This dish is so full of flavor and it’s so filling! I developed this recipe with ingredients that the whole family likes that way you only have to make one dinner and the whole fam will be happy. Enjoy! Let me know what you think of this recipe. You know I love feedback!

Tip: for best results serve it over linguine(or any pasta really) or bread.

Fun fact: this was my first time using a Leek!

Recipe:

2 lb ground beef

1 leek

1 large carrot

1 onion

5 garlic

4 celery

1/2 cup olive oil

1/4 cup tomato paste

1 jar (24oz) crushed tomatoes

2 teaspoons brown sugar

1 1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

Dice up all the vegetables small. In a Large pot Sauté them in oil. Once the veggies are all cooked, Add the tomato paste and mix it in. Remove the vegetables from the pot and sauté the beef. Break up the beef ad it cooks to form tiny chunks. Add the veggies back in. Add the crushed tomatoes and spices. Cover and cook on medium/low for 40 minutes. Garnish with basil
